Our asymetrical tripod keeps the legs off your mat, (and out from under your elbow!) while providing a wide base of support.
The pivoting outrigger brings the rod 5-1/2" over the mat, about 16" from the base to the eyepiece,
bringing your scope right to your eye for that last quick check on conditions before breaking your shot.

For offhand, sitting and scoring, the scope is mounted on the main rods.
You can see the weight of the scope is very close to the center of support.

(If someone tells you bipod stands are unstable, they are talking about the Freeland with the 5/8" rod, not the F-Stand.)
(However, I used a Freeland for years and I don't know what they are talking about!)
